We’re delighted that you are considering running in aid of the RNLI. Through running on our behalf you’ll be helping provide the support our volunteers need in order to rescue the thousands of people who rely on us to save their lives every year.
Last year our lifeboats launched 8,346 times around the coast of the UK and Ireland, rescuing 7,964 people - an average of 22 people a day.
Our volunteer lifeboat crew members spent a collective 56,242 hours at sea on service – that's nearly 6½ years in total.
Our lifeguards responded to 14,523 incidents and aided 16,418 people on beaches in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. We’ll never know how many more tragedies they prevented through warnings and advice.
This year, our lifesavers have already gone to the rescue hundreds of times and will be called upon next year too. Your support today will help ensure they're ready. So when you run your race, you can feel good knowing that you’re making a difference.
When you sign up to support us we'll give you fundraising support to help make your fundraising a real success. We've got training plans to help you be the best you can be and we'll give you an RNLI t-shirt so that you can let everyone know who you are running for.
So don't hesitate, sign up now and we'll be with you all the way.
